Rose Geranium Distillation Workshop: August 28
Join us in this workshop to create Rose Geranium (Pelargonium graveolens) hydrosol. Rose geranium is aromatically divine - it smells fresh and rosy, and has amazing uplifting, skin toning properties. We will harvest rose geranium from the organic herb gardens, prepare it for distilling as a group, pack the still, and wait patiently as the 10 gallon copper alembic still pulls on the aromatics within the plant to distill a beautiful, fresh hydrosol and essential oil. Participants can expect to learn all about Rose Geranium: history of use, cultivation, harvesting, sourcing, phytochemistry, herbal actions, and therapeutic use for the hydrosol.
We will also cover the history of distillation, distillation equipment and techniques, and anatomy and physiology of the olfactory system.
Date: Wednesday August 28
Space is limited to 10 people, please register early to save your spot.
