Lemon Balm Distillation Workshop: June 9, 2019
Lemon Balm Melissa officinalis is bright, uplifting, and abundantly grows in the northwest. We will celebrate this beautiful plant in our distillation workshop. We will gather and prepare fresh organic lemon balm, prepare it for the still, and run it through an entire distillation process using our 10 gallon alembic copper still. This process is delightful, as we smell, taste, and explore lemon balm as an aromatic healing plant.
This class will review the history of distillation as well as the distillation process. You will learn the therapeutic range that lemon balm offers, as well as a deeper look at the phytochemistry and aromatherapy profile for this delicious plant.
Participants will leave with hydrosol to take home.
